It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Image
Christmas is only a cupcake away I am so sorry but I heard on the radio that it is only 14 weeks until Christmas! While I am planning to go into a total meltdown the day before Christmas Eve, my colleague Gavin is already testing out cupcake designs for his Christmas orders. This was one moment when I was quite happy to see a Christmas Tree in August.

Shoe of the week

What I love about Designers for Debenhams is that you can get a little bit of the designer lifestyle on a high street budget. Now Steve Madden has created a shoe collection for Debenhams called Madden Girl. Its like a capsule wardrobe of shoes, with something for everyone from wedges to desert boots, flats to heels. Naturally, I had to choose these shoes as my shoe of the week.

Half way there

My search for a green dress has resulted in failure. I have just over a week until my cousin's wedding and have only sorted the key parts of the outfit. I've not found the dress I really wanted so I'm feeling a bit un-confident about the outfit I have so far. Instead of getting the perfect dress and building the outfit around that, I've planned the outfit around my shoes, probably not the wisest way to go. Here's what I have so far. The shoes from Mr Louboutin . . . The dress from Dorothy Perkins . . . A ring from Swarovski . . . And this bag from Dune @ Debenhams . . . I'm hoping some costume jewellery will help

Back in the blogosphere

I am now finally back online after limited internet access for the past two weeks with has resulted in a loss of images and my iTunes library. Now I'm back and preparing to catch up with your lovely blogs and get back to shoe research . . . as they say there's no rest for the wicked! photo credit: lululemon athletica via photo pin cc

Shoe of the week

This week's shoe is by one of my favourite shoe shops - Kurt Geiger. Its got a little bit of everything that I like: hot colour, stilleto heel, peeptoe and a mary-jane type strap. Perfect for wearing in these last weeks of summer :(

With the Olympics now at an end, I had to make this week's shoe theme-related. These Union Jack styled shoes would have been the perfect accessory for Geri Halliwell to wear while performing at last night's closing ceremony. I am so disappointed that she didn't wear the union jack dress! PS Apologies for lack of posting and comments, my computer broke and I lost all my pictures and even my ipod library got wiped out! Normal business will resume shortly.

Getting inspired

Image
I have to be honest, I was completely fed up with the Olympics over a week ago. I was ready for it to be over before it had begun. Not very patriotic I know but I'm not a sports fan at all. I still can't get my head round the offside rule despite being with my football-mad husband for twelve years and I call the triple jump the 'hop, skip and jump' event. But since watching that amazing opening ceremony I've been hooked on watching some amazing sportsmen and women going for gold. And this advert for the Paralympics leaves me inspired and humbled, so I'm already looking forward to supporting Team GB when its their time to shine.

Shoe of the week

This week's shoe had to be going for gold to join in the Olympic celebrations. These shoes would have no difficulty in raising to first place in the fashion stakes. The picture doesn't do them justice, they are so pretty and literally shine instore.
